Why Always Capsules?

Our Commitment To Capsules

You may have noticed our strong commitment to capsules and pure powders over tablets. This choice is a major part of our ‘make it right’ philosophy.

What's The Issue With Tablets?

While it is cheaper and quicker to produce tablets, they come with a significant drawback; they require binding agents to hold them together. From here we encounter further issues; they need to taste good, dissolve at the right speed, and be protected from oxidative damage.

The result is often a list of twenty ingredients, and often these excipients and additives can cause undesirable effects, especially when it comes to gastrointestinal health. Tablets are poorly digested and absorbed, which compromises the full potential of the active ingredients.

Our Solution? Capsules.

The simplest way to avoid these tablet pitfalls is capsules. We use plant-based vegetable cellulose capsules as the delivery system for most of our products. This allows us a avoid the use of unnecessary binders, additives or sweeteners. Our popular individual vitamin and mineral supplements provide customers with high-quality levels of the pure ingredient, nothing added.

What Capsules Do We Use?

The capsules that G&G use are made from either plant derived hydroxyl propyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) or vegetable pullulan. HPMC capsules are pH-independent, and so have delayed disintegration with enteric properties. This ensures a higher survival rate of active ingredients from the stomach acid, so they can be absorbed in the intestines.

HPMC capsules meet both religious and dietary exclusion standards, allowing them to be suitable across a broader range of people. The capabilities of creating unique and beneficial blends are diverse and flexible, even with small amounts of natural fillers like alfalfa or whole food powders. Meticulous encapsulation methods such as these give therapists confidence in a purer product for their patients.
