Description

OUR FOLIC ACID SUPPLEMENT

Folic acid supplement that provides 400μg of high-quality folate in an easy-to-take vegetable capsule. This supplement uses the L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) form of folic acid, which is active form found in nature, eliminating the need or biochemical conversion in the body, unlike synthetic folic acid.

WHAT IS FOLIC ACID?

Folic Acid is a water-soluble nutrient that is part of the vitamin B complex family. It is essential to the formation of red blood cells.

WHAT DOES FOLIC ACID DO?

Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. The beneficial effect is obtained with a supplemental folic acid daily intake of 400μg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception for women of child bearing age.

SUITABLE FOR VEGANS

This supplement is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. It is also approved kosher and does not contain any major allergens.

The product is fine but would question why one item needs to be sent by courier, when Royal Mail would be better for the environment.

Response:

Dear Patricia,

Thank you for your concern. We switched to DPD over Royal Mail because they are a carbon neutral delivery company, whereas Royal Mail does not offer these same commitments. While we understand that any form of delivery will - and does - have environmental consequences, we feel it is important to work with companies that are trying to limit the impact that they have on the environment.

Kind Regards
