How To Take

Directions:
Take 1 sachet daily with a main meal or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Warnings:
Never take B-Complex nicotinamide on an empty stomach. Long term intake of 20mg of vitamin B6 may lead to mild tingling and numbness. Beta-carotene should not be taken by heavy smokers.

Folic Acid in the Mumma Pack

The Pregnancy Pack contains an extremely effective form of folic acid. Conventional folic acid is synthetic and is used in many vitamin supplements. We use L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF), which is the active form of folic acid and is found in nature. The folic acid found in food has to be digested to be absorbed, and then has to undergo several biochemical conversions in the body to become L-5-MTHF. By supplementing directly with L-5-MTHF (rather than synthetic folic acid), one can be assured of getting the benefits of folic acid, regardless of your ability to absorb or convert it to the active form.

*Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplemental folic acid daily intake of 400 mcg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
