Why Should I Choose Zinc Citrate?

Zinc citrate is a chelated form of the mineral. Chelated minerals are formed when minerals are combined with amino acids to form a complex that can be more easily digested and assimilated by the body. This creates a zinc supplement blend that can be absorbed more readily into body compared to other forms, such as zinc oxide.

What is Zinc?

Zinc works with the body, overseeing the efficiency flow of process and the maintenance of some body systems.

What Does Zinc Do?*

Zinc contributes towards a healthy diet in many ways. Zinc is a contributor to the maintenance of normal bones, vision, hair, skin, nails and testosterone levels in the blood. Zinc also contributes to the normal function of the immune system and the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Zinc also plays a roll in the normal fertility and reproduction.

SOD Plus Supplement

SOD supplement that provides high-quality superoxide dismutase blended with zinc, glutathione, manganese, NAC, and copper. This blend forms a potent antioxidant supplement.

What is Superoxide Dismutase?

Free radicals, produced naturally in our bodies when exposed to harmful environmental toxins like cigarette smoke, pollution, household chemicals, and processed foods, can damage our cells through oxidative stress.

One such free radical, Superoxide, is countered by the enzyme Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), produced by our bodies to minimize this damage.

Our formula contains the minerals manganese, zinc and copper, which contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and act as precursors to the SOD variations.

High levels of the superoxide radical can disrupt the production of glutathione, which is often referred to as the body’s “master antioxidant”. For this reason, we have incorporated (reduced) l-glutathione in our formulation.

What does SOD Plus do?

Our SOD Plus formula can support a healthy diet in a number of ways. This formula is a high-strength antioxidant blend containing zinc, manganese and copper which all contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Zinc and copper also contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Copper and manganese both contribute to normal energy yielding metabolism. As an essential mineral, Zinc also contributes to a healthy lifestyle in a number of other ways, please review our zinc pages to find out more.

What is P5P (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate)?

Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate, or P5P as it is commonly known, is the active form of vitamin B6. In foods or most supplements, vitamin B6 is found in one of three forms: pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine. Inside the body, these forms of B6 have to be converted by the liver to the active form, P5P. This conversion can be reduced in some individuals.

What Does Vitamin B6 Complex Do?

The Cal-M Supplement Blend

Calcium and magnesium work in harmony in the human body, and this supplement mirrors that ratio. Multivitamin Designed for the Vegan Diet

Vegan Multi has been designed to help support a vegan diet. Vegan Multi includes a special blend of vitamins, minerals, and plant nutrients which the Vegan Society outline as typically lacking in a vegan diet. These include vitamin B12, vitamin D, iodine, selenium, iron, zinc, and vitamin K. Our Vegan Multi has been specially blended to bring these ingredients together in one supplement.

Specially Blended to Support a Vegan Diet

Vitamin B12 is particularly important to supplement alongside a vegan diet since it can only be found naturally in animal sources. Vitamin B12 is essential for energy production, immunity, nervous system health, brain function, red blood cell formation and reproductive processes. It is therefore very important to regularly monitor for vitamin B12 deficiency, using a blood test.

Iodine is an essential mineral that is often found in sea food such as fish, clams and prawns. It is also found in some plant sources such as seaweed, however if this is not included in the diet it can be hard to obtain. Iron is a mineral that can be found in plant sources, however the bioavailability of these minerals for the body is questionable.

Vitamin A levels can also be low in those on a vegan diet. Although betacarotene is the plant-based precursor to vitamin A that can be obtained in large amounts from vegetables, certain individuals cannot convert betacarotene into vitamin A. This is due to a common genetic SNP that reduces or prevents this process from occurring.

Why Choose a Daily Supplement Pack?

We ensure that all our health supplements are perfectly balanced to work harmoniously with the body, delivering precise levels of specific vitamins and minerals. While combining all the supplements in the Mumma Pack into a single capsule is possible, this approach would reduce the quality of the nutrients we are able to provide with multiple capsules. Our daily supplement sachet provide a mixture of health supplements that are easy to manage and balanced correctly.

Folic Acid in the Mumma Pack

The Pregnancy Pack contains an extremely effective form of folic acid. Conventional folic acid is synthetic and is used in many vitamin supplements. We use L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF), which is the active form of folic acid and is found in nature. The folic acid found in food has to be digested to be absorbed, and then has to undergo several biochemical conversions in the body to become L-5-MTHF. By supplementing directly with L-5-MTHF (rather than synthetic folic acid), one can be assured of getting the benefits of folic acid, regardless of your ability to absorb or convert it to the active form.

*Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplemental folic acid daily intake of 400 mcg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.

What Do You Get In Our Pregnancy Pack?

Each sachet contains the following supplements:
